Giro Day Eleven: The Mechanic's Job

It is not only the cyclist that are called upon to take unsafe risks in the service of the team's goals of stage victories or the overall lead.  This is the on-road mechanic for Androni trying to adjust the saddle height of Jackson Rodriquez's bike.  In an effort to not lose anytime to the chasers or the peleton, this was done as they ripped through the valley at 40+ kph.  Ultimately, they ended up changing bikes instead and Rodriquez was caught by Pauwels and they started the climb together.  This is an original watercolor and ink postcard and like all of the works in this series, is available for purchase on my artist website.  Just follow the direct link at the end of this post.
