Once the large break got to the bottom of the final climb, they knew the peloton wasn't coming back to them. With that kernel of knowledge it was time to get rid of the passengers and try to ride away from everyone else. Nieve is swinging from one side of the road to the other trying to shake the three that have come with him on the opening salvo.
