Ruta del Sol Stage 1: Laying into the Corner

It looked like most of the town turned out to watch the fast men in lycra speed through town.  They cheered everyone including one of the senior statesman of the sport, Italian Ivan Basso (Tinkoff Saxo), who laid down a very competitive time in the second half of stage 1.
