Paris Nice Stage 1: Bringing the Champion Back

Arnaud Demare (FDJ), resplendent in his Tricolore French National Championship Jersey, is being led back through the caravan by a teammate after having a very relaxed rear wheel change.  With just 25 kilometers left to race to Contres, he was fortunate that it was practically a day off in the peloton.  The team, hoping to get Demare into contention for the final sprint, wanted to make sure the French Champion spent as little energy as possible getting back to the business end of the race.
