Tour de France Stage 1: A Flying Dutchman

Tom Dumolin (Giant Alpecin) had been very excited to learn that the opening stage of the Tour de France was going to be an individual time trial on his own country's soil.  Dumolin is a former Dutch National Time Trial Champion, and he was dreaming of pulling on the Yellow Jersey while standing on a Tour de France podium in the Netherlands.  The roar of his countrymen has he ripped through the streets of Utrecht was near deafening, but must have been music to Dumolin's ears.  Alas, he was unable to better the time of Rohan Dennis (BMC), so his dreams of yellow may have to wait until another year.

This is a small original watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my cycling art is available for purchase through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting, just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  And yes, international shipping is available.
