Tour de France, Stage 17: Calling Time Out?

This Tour has provided me with many firsts.  There have been things done that I have never seen before, record made, and firsts for riders, countries and teams alike.  But I am quite sure no one has ever tried to call time out with the T hand gesture before.  I don't know if Chris Froome (Team Sky) was trying to slow the main competitors out of a kindness to the floundering Tejay van Garderen (BMC) or was being exhausted by the constant attacks and high pace of the opening kilometers of the stage.  Regardless, the Maillot Jaune group back off the pace and let van Garderen catch back onto the tail of the group on the way up the Col de Tortes Aures.

This is a small original watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from Jack Richeson & Company, www.richesonart.com.  They are a small family run art supply company that really does have excellent art making materials.  This painting, and in fact all of my cycling artwork, is available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting for only $60 USD, just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Don't delay however, since it is an original painting, when it is gone, it is gone.
