Rio Olympics: The Leader of the Pack

Obviously, the 15,000 meter race is a long one, so the front of the pack is not necessarily the place to be.  Although just like road cycling, it is better to be near the front to avoid the touch of wheels (or legs and feet in this case).  The was a collective intake of breath went the odds on favorite and defending Gold Medalist, Mo Farah (Great Britain), hit the deck after getting his feet tangled with another runner.  He was able to jump right back up and continue with the race.  More on how he finished later.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.
