Rio Olympics: Playing With House Money

Michelle Carter (USA) is more the look of the traditional shot put competitor.  A lot of thrust dynamics figures into this sport and the force of momentum plays a big part in success.  The title may need a little explaining.  Carter had already thrown a medal worthy throw, so she had no fear of not succeeding in the Olympics (Her father had one Silver in the same event in his day).  So having already on, she was using that fact to allow her to risk a fault in order to get her maximum distance.  It paid off, she is now a Gold Medal Olympiad!

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.
