Rio Olympics: Still in Sight

Shalane Flanaghan (USA) had done brilliantly to hang with the best of the best through the first 30 kilometers of the race.  She had trained for the expected push had that point in the race and had hung tough.  But when the push came again at 35 K, she just didn't have enough left to go with the surge.  As the five pushed on she managed to keep them in sight, finishing the day in sixth on the day.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Remember this is an original work of art, so once it has been sold, it is gone.  Don't delay buy it now!
