Rio Olympics: Two Miles In

The Women's Marathon started (and ended) on the Sambadrome were the spectacle of Carnivale happens every year.  Today the crowds and insanity was rather subdued, as the women ran down the same boulevard as the dancers and bands do in March.  After passing the stands, the women went out through the streets of the financial district in search of Olympic glory.  The only thing that they were guaranteed was a lot of suffering on the way through the streets of Rio.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Remember this is an original work of art, so once it has been sold, it is gone.  Don't delay buy it now!
