Bergen, Elite Women's ITT, The First Corner

The start of the individual time trial is truly a trial, the riders come down the ramp onto cobbles, then get up to speed only to hit a hard left turn into a tunnel.  Coming back out into the sunlight they then climb on to a spiraled approach to a bridge... and that is the easy part.  The Colombian Ana Cristina Sanabria slows as she turns into that first corner on her way around Bergen.  While Colombian cyclists are known for their climbing abilities, she was able to turn that in to a podium finish today.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  It is only $75 USD and international shipping is available.
