Vuelta, Stage 16: Time to Defend

With the official counting down the final seconds before Chris Froome (Sky) rode down the ramp to defend his overall Vuelta lead.  It was widely expected that Froome would be able to withstand any challenges to his Red Jersey today, and perhaps even win his second stage.  However, there are others with a quick turn of speed who had to be agressive whereas Froome could opt to ride defensively having the lecture of starting his race of truth after everyone else was already out on course.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  It is only $75 USD and international shipping is available.
