Yorkshire 2019 - Elite Women's Road Race: Tough Already

The course was most unkind with two big climbs coming in the first thirty kilometers for the women's peloton.  With some very strong countries wanting to split up the peloton as soon as possible, the race got very tough very quickly.  Perhaps too tough for these two islanders.  Agusta Edda Bjornsdottir (Iceland) and Alexi Costa (Trinidad and Tobago) found the pace just too much to handle.  They were not alone in that discovery.  I am not surprised that Costa was layered up against the cold of Yorkshire, but a little amused that an Icelander needed long sleeves to remain comfortable.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Since it is an original it is first come first served.  The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
