Not wanting to be out done by her countrywoman, Shirin Van Anrooij (Netherlands) slide up the barriers to get around the Kazakh, Ulyana Sukhorebrik, who had started a minute before her. Like her teammate before her Anrooij took over the race lead when she finished her ride. However, she was only bested by one other rider ending her day with a Silver Medal for her efforts.
