This is just part of what it takes to be able to keep making art.  Many years back, 1986-87 I was awarded one of these Professional Artist Fellowships from the VMFA.  I have continued to apply almost every year since.  The last thirty plus years have seen quite a bit of artwork come out of my studio.  The work is all clearly done by my hand, but media, techniques and imagery have evolved over the decades.

This is one of the pieces that I had included in that 1986 application.

And this is one from this year's application.

Happily, both of these pieces of artwork are sold and not cluttering up my studio.  You can see most of my artwork at my website, www.greigleach.com

And remember, we are all stiving to make good work, get it seen, and make a living from our artwork.  So please buy some art from a living artist!
