This is the third group to get together off of the front of the peleton and they waited until an uncatergorized climb with 15 kilometers left to go in the longest stage of the 2013 Giro. Some of the riders that you can see in this image are; Veuchelen riding for Vacansoliel (who have announced that they will stop sponsoring cycling in 2014), Gatto riding for Fantini-Selle Italia, Azanza for Euskadel/Euskadei and Caruso for Katusha. But they are another doomed group although it was the last kilometer that was their undoing. Omega Pharma Quickstep wasn't letting anyone deny Mark Cavendish another stage, what would be the fourth victory for this Giro.
