Tony Martin is the current Time Trial World Champion, wearing the rainbow jersey with the giant stop watch on the chest. The time trial is a race against the clock, often called the race of truth because of the rider's efforts are his alone. There is no teammate to help break the wind, just the individual strength and endurance of the rider. Martin proved today, why he is the World Champion in the discipline, wining by nearly a minute over the next fastest rider.
