Team Sky cut the peloton down to about 50, then Peter Kennaugh whittled in down to about twenty, followed by Richie Porte who got rid of all but three others. At that point it was time for Froome to go for it, swiftly catching the Columbian, Quintana on his way to a solo stamp of his authority on the 100th Tour de France. All of the contenders lost time, some lost huge blocks of it, and were left scratching their heads trying to figure out what went wrong and if there is a way to fix it. Wasn't it nice of the cycling fans to wave a Union Jack at the precisely correct moment. This is an original watercolor and ink postcard that is available at my artist website. Just follow the direct link at the end of this post to get this deciding moment of the 100th Tour de France.
