There has been quite a bit of chatter about the GC teams mixing it in with the sprinter's teams on the run in to the final sprint of the day. Many are claiming that the GC guys shouldn't be there and that their presence is making it more dangerous for the sprinters to ply their trade. Here, it is the GC team of BMC, ultimately riding for Richie Porte and Tejay van Garderen having Michael Schar try to calm the run in down. I wonder exactly what the Direct Energie rider thought of Schar's continual calming gesture. Tucked in behind the former Swiss Champion is the current Maillot Jaune of Schar's teammate, Greg Van Avermaet. Notice that all of BMC are wearing yellow helmets (and yellow bib numbers) announcing that they are the leaders of the team classification, thanks mainly to the huge win of Van Avermaet on Stage 5.
