It was the home country skater Tae-Yun Kim (Korea) who lit up the crowd as he flew around the ice oval in Pyeong Chang. When he finished he held the best time thus far in the men's 1000M event. He ended up with the Bronze Medal much to the delight of the Korean fans. Norway added to its record breaking medal tally, with another Gold and the Nederlands added a silver to their impressive speed skating medal tally.
