Peter Sagan (Bora Hansgrohe) had missed the early break, and a chance to sprint for the first intermediate sprint. Without that sprint, he has dropped to second on the road in the points competition for the Green Jersey. He bridged up to the break, but it will be a hard finale for the second intermediate sprint and the stage. Perhaps tomorrow, he will be back in his Slovakian National Champion jersey.
