TDF, Stage 15: Pure Joy

I wonder when it will sink in for Sepp Kuss (Jumbo-Visma) that he just won a stage of the Tour de France.  And he did it by out climbing and out descending Alejandro Valverde!  Kuss is the first American to win a stage of the Tour de France since 2011.  It was a full decade ago when Tyler Farrar took a sprint stage in the Tour.  Somehow, I don't think this will be the last stage victory for this guy.  The Tour started very badly for his team with three guys on the team including last year's runner up in the Tour having all crashed out.  Since then they have the second place in the best young rider competition, and have now won two stages, more than two thirds of the teams in the Tour haven't won any stages.

Chapeau, to this Colorado native, who lives and trains on these very mountains.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above.  Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 USD plus shipping, and yes international shipping is available.

Tour, First Rest Day

I will not claim that I am half as tired as the peloton, but I need this rest day just as much as they do.  This is just a quick glimpse of the 65 4"x6" postcard size ink and watercolors that I have created live over the first nine stages of this Tour de France.  They are piled on top of my second book, Art of Cycling: Richmond 2015 UCI Road World Championships.  The book is available through your favorite online or retail bookseller, or you can order it direct from the publisher at www.artofcycling.bike.  All of this artwork (minus one) is available for purchase through my artist website, www.greigleach.com.  My paintings of this Tour de France are at http://www.greigleach.com/thumbnail_list.php?mgd_id=224974#.V4PZqbgrLIU.  International shipping is available using USPS International Priority.  Domestic orders will ship USPS Priority.

Now to try and complete all of the other tasks around the home before going to a book signing and fundraiser for Richmond Area Bicycle Association's "Bikes for Kids" effort.
