Peter Sagan (Tinkoff Saxo) tried yet again to claim his first Tour de France stage since 2013. He started the day with the red racing bib number of Most Combative rider based on his efforts and second place finish yesterday. Today he got little help from his break away companions, none wanting to come to the line with the well known fast man of the sprint. So, on his own, Sagan made it to the line having shed everyone with the possible exception of the IAM Cycling rider coming in with the Race Commissare's vehicle, but unable to catch up to Reuben Plaza (Lampre-Merida). Make that yet another second place finish for the Maillot Vert, but add even more points to his lead in the Sprinter's competition.
This is a small original watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from Jack Richeson & Company, www.richesnonart.com.
