Lisa Brennauer and Lisa Klein struggled to catch their breath after a truly all-out effort to put Germany into a Gold Medal position. Clearly they had done everything in their power to hold improve on the position provided to them by their countrymen. As they struggled to breath, they knew that only the Dutch women could out ride them. Alas, that is exactly what happened, but their ride did earn them the Silver in the first Mixed Relay of the UCI Road World Championships.
