Rio Olympics: Out Jumping

The United States women may have been out jumping Serbia, but the Serbs were out playing the Americans.  The two teams traded sets, but since Serbia had won the first set, it followed that they won the fifth and deciding one.  The USA will play for the Bronze Medal against the Dutch.  The Serbians will take on the Chinese for Gold.

Rio Olympics: Over the Block

The more traditional game of Volley Ball is played with six players on a court similar to a basketball court.  Today was the final game in the first round of competitions.  The top two teams of each group will now move into the elimination games.  Team USA had a brilliant games winning in four sets mainly do to the play of Akinradewo, although it was really a team effort.

Rio Olympics: Going Tall

The home team, Brazil hasn't been having a stellar Olympics thus far.  That is except for their woman's Volley Ball team.  Today they were up against their neighbor Argentina.  It made for a rather lively audience in the gym.
