Rio Olympics: Girls on Top

I have never seen this move before.  Both teams, in an effort to block or catch the sideline throw in, put one of their teammates up standing on their shoulders.  The black clad New Zealanders (or Kiwis) took control of the game early, nearly routing Team Great Britain.  As with the other game I watched (and painted), the Kiwis will be playing against their neighbors, Australia for the Gold Medal - the loser of that game will win Silver.  Great Britain will play Canada for Bronze, however one of those teams will not get an Olympic medal.

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.
