Tears of joy flooded the face of Elia Viviani (Italy) as he rode his victory lap in the Velodromo. Viviani had ridden a smart race, always keeping a close eye on those trying to overtake his point lead. Most notably out sprinting Mark Cavendish on his way to the Gold Medal in the Omnium. I just loved this image of him trying to dry his tears with his country's flag. The flag fluttered behind him like a brides veil as he circle the wooden velodrome.
