Jarrion Lawson (USA) was having a brilliant Long Jump competition, moving into the lead with this jump. Sadly, his outstretched left arm and his lean to that direction on this jump was the hint on what was to come. On his final jump his hand hit the sand long before any other part of his body, but that was what determined the length of his flight, and what left him off of the podium.
