It seems that every commentator needs to point out how rare it is to find a French cyclist wearing the yellow jersey. I don't think it is that rare, just for a Frenchman to win the overall on the final stage. Christophe Laporte (Jumbo-Visma) took the leader's jersey on the first day leading the three man break of Jumbo Visma riders across the line. That event set the stage for today. Just ahead of Laporte is Wout Van Aert in the Green Jersey of best sprinter and his team leader. At the end of the day, that order would be in reverse between the three Jumbo-Visma riders.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 USD plus shipping, and yes international shipping is available.
