Giro, Stage 14: Turn Left and Climb

My life got a little busy and I wasn't able to watch nor paint stages 12 and 13.  Between work and being honored by my former high school for a life lived in the arts there just wasn't enough time.  I spend quite a few hours a day watching, painting and writing this blog.  So there are times when life takes over.  So picking up where I left off...

As the title implies, today's stage was about climbing.  This six man break is turning on to the second of five catagorized climbs.  Leading them up the Avaglio climb was yet another rider from Androni-Giocattoli, Francesco Gavazzi.  Joining the Italian, was Matteo Montaguti (Ag2r La Mondiale), Jacopo Musca (Wilier Triestina), Enrico Barbin (Bardiani CSF), Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo) and his teammate, Laurent Didier.  The group managed to put six minutes into the peloton, not that it is enough time considering just how tough the second half of stage 14 is.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post.  Since it is an original it is first come first served.  The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
