Bergen 2017, Elite Women's ITT: A Very Fast Ride

Another of the Dutch riders, Annemiek Van Vleuten, was putting in very fast times around the course, she wasn't besting her teammate Anna Van Der Breggan, but she was very close.  Van Vleuten was the rider who had the horrific crash 13 months ago in the Rio Summer Olympics.  That she ever road again is amazing, but to day I can use the word awesome correctly to describe her efforts today.  Not only was she able to ride at a professional level again, she was able to win the Elite Women's Individual Time Trial today.  So for the next year she will be wearing the Rainbow Jersey everytime she lines up to race an ITT.  Yes, it was a very fast ride, indeed!

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  It is only $75 USD and international shipping is available.
