Vuelta, Stage 14: Making Their Move

It was the man in second place, Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrain-Merida), who but in the first attack that looked like it might stick.  Stuck on the Italian's wheel was the ever agressive, Alberto Contador (Trek-Segafredo).  The pair got a nice gap on the red jersey of Chris Froom (Sky) who had lost the last of his powerful teammates.  However, Froome was able to close the distance himself.  In the end, Nibali pulled back a few seconds on Froome and a small time bonus for finishing 3rd on the day (Froome was 4th).

This is a small watercolors and ink painting measuring just 4"x6" and was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.richesonart.com.  This painting and all of my Olympics artwork will be available through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.  To purchase this particular painting just follow the direct link at the end of this post.  It is only $75 USD and international shipping is available.
