It was a very emotional Oscar Figueroa (Colombia) who succeed in his final Clean & Jerk lift. With the successful lift, he knew he had the medal. Never the less he came back out to try to break his own Olympic Record. He didn't succeed. After bowing to the audience, he kissed the bar, the weights and then removed his shoes and placed them under the bar. I learned tonight, that is how a weightlifter signals his retirement from the sport. Chapeau!
