Brandon McHulty (USA) was the odds on favorite going into this race in Richmond, Virginia last year, but he had some bad luck the month leading up to the race in his home country. He came to the start house today the favorite yet again. But today from the very first pedal stroke, it looked like he would live up to the expectations. McHulty posted the best times at each time check. Here he is catching not is minute man, but his two minute name, Stefan Bissegger (Switzerland). (a little hint, the bib number is also the reverse order of their start position) His ride let his legs do the talking, taking the Rainbow Jersey by at least a half minute. Chapeau!
