With a two-woman breakaway up the road by six minutes it seemed the peloton was taking the first part of the day a bit easy. After one of the quartet of climbs of the day the peloton was looking at a long gradual descent along a river valley all of the way to Nice. They do have to detours over the last two climbs today. So, at the back of the peloton Reijanne Markus (Lidl-Trek) and Alice Towers (EF Education-Oatly) seemed to enjoy the view and a bit of chat. At least until they get a bit closer to Nice.
