Tour, Stage 15: Playing for Keeps
The final climb of the day up the Foix Prat d'Albis was proving to be the challenge that was expected. The next to go on the offensive was Thibaut Pinot (Groupama-FDJ) hoping to repeat his stage win from the day before. He did not, but he did move himself into fourth overall. Glued to the Frenchman's wheel is Egan Bernal (Ineos) in his Maillot Blanc of Best Young Rider. This was an attack that the Maillot Jaune, Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) had to respond to. Behind Bernal's teammate, Geraint Thomas was starting to recover on this climb. Alaphilippe looked to be letting the gap go. He does have over two minutes to play with, but he surely doesn't want to give up a second of his advantage. Stuck on the Frenchman's wheel is Emaunel Buchmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) doing his best to climb the mountain and the general classification.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post. Since it is an original it is first come first served. The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
