Tour, Stage 19: I'm Not Amused
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-Quick Step) was not remotely amused by the decision to neutralized the stage at the top of the previous climb. Alaphilippe was dropped on the climb, but was already pulling back time on the descent. It will be argued for years about whether he could have pulled back enough time to save his Maillot Jaune, but now, we will never know. He will be roughly 30 seconds off of the lead with just one real day of racing left to go. It is traditional to not attack the race leader on the roads into Paris. As wild as the end of this Tour is going, even that may fall to the whims of fate in this Tour. Yesterday, the French were riding high, but today it all went wrong. At least Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) still holds the Maillot a Pois.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post. Since it is an original it is first come first served. The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
