Tour, Stage 21: The Team of the Yellow Jersey
On a day (and stage) full of traditions, another is to let the team of the Maillot Jaune lead the peloton on to the Champs Elysees. They will nomally lead all of the way around the first lap of the course and then it is time for full on racing. Team Ineos brought seven of its eight guys to Paris, Luke Rowe was thrown out for fighting with Tony Martin (Jumbo-Visma). Martin was also evicted from the Tour. That being said, the rest of the team added yellow stripes to their sleeves, shorts along with wearing yellow gloves. From behind, they sported a bright yellow strip down their back in place of the red stripe that now dons their kit. It just occured to me that they don't know the American application of a "yellow streak." If you don't know it means that you are afraid to take a risk, to be bold, to be a coward, or to stand up for yourself. Clearly that is not the case for this team.
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available though my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of this post. Since it is an original it is first come first served. The painting was created using Yarka St Petersburg watercolors from Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 plus shipping. And yes, international shipping is available.
