Amstel Gold Women - Queen of the Cauberg

The last time the Amstel Gold was raced (it was canceled in 2020 like so many other things in all of our lives) it was Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon SRAM) who went away for the win on the Cauberg.  She was hoping to repeat her victory with the same tactic.  It appeared to be working as Marianne Vos (Jumbo Visma Women) dropped her head seemingly unable to keep up with the former Polish Champion.  Behind the WWT points leader, Elisa Longo Borghini (Trek-Segafredo) did her best to cover the attack.  The first time I painted Niewiadoma was in the UCI Road World Championships here in Richmond, VA way back in 2015.  She was attacking the front of the race then, too.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at www.greigleach.com, or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above.  Since ti is an original work of art, it is a first come first seved reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburth watercolors from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $75 USD plus shipping, and yes international shipping is available.
