Tour de France Femmes 23, Stage 4: Is Second Enough for First?

Anouska Koster (Uno-X) has been very aggressive throughout the opening stages of this Tour de France Femmes.  Today was no different.  She got into the break and mopped up all of the climbs before the race came on air.  She had lost the wheel of two of those who had been in the break, but by the time she got to the top of the Cote de Moyrazes, there was just one woman up the road.  The question was, is this second place and its three points going to be enough to win her the next lead in the Queen of the Mountains?  Once we knew what had happened on the previous climb (bad TV editing made it impossible to know who went over the Cote de Colombies until the stats were posted.  The answer, yes it was.  She is now the Maillot a Pois virtuale.  She was followed over the climb by Sheyla Gutierrez (Movistar) and Thalita De Jong (Liv Racing TeqFind).  There is one more climb today, but Yara Kastelijn (Fenix-Deceuninck) could not overtake her QOM lead even if she stays off the front over that climb.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but yes international shipping is both available and extra.
