Tour de France 23, Stage 15: Locked Together

Despite all of Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) attempts to get away, Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) remained stuck to the wheel of the Maillot Blanc.  With another fifteen riders already having finished the stage there were no time bonus on offer for these two.  As long as the two cross the line together there will be no time gains (or losses) today.  As a show of defiance, Vingegaard pulled along side Pogacar as the pair crossed the line to finish stage 15.  So they will go into the rest day with the same ten seconds between them and wearing the same jersey as they started the day with.  When racing resumes on Tuesday it will be the individual time trial.  Vingegaard will ride last and have the advantage of knowing just how well Pogacar is riding.  Whether he can do anything about it remains to be seen.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but yes international shipping is both available and extra.
