Tour de France 23, Stage 14: They Fought to a Draw

Both Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) had traded attacks all of the way up and down the Col de Joux Plane.  But by the time they swept into Morzine, the two found themselves chasing a lone leader, Carolos Rodriguez (Ineos-Grenadiers).  The two were so focused on each other over the top of the final climb, they didn't jump onto the wheel as he went pass.  Each wanted to catch the guy up the road, since there was an eight second bonus for the stage winner.  Second and third place carried five and three seconds respectively. Vingegaard had gained a net three seconds over the bonus point atop the climb increasing his virtual lead to eleven seconds.  The way they are flying into town, it is highly unlikely the jersey will change hands today.  It is even more likely that tomorrow's stage is going to be bonkers.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but yes international shipping is both available and extra.
