Tour '26, Stage 15: Still Not Established

Despite the stage starting with a big climb after a very early intermediate sprint even at 117 kilometers to go of a 184-kilometer stage the breakaway was still not established.  This group of six have only built a sixteen second advantage over the peloton. Michael Matthews (Jayco-Alula) reached out to grab a bidon from the Shimano Neutral Service Moto.  The sprinter on the Australian team has managed to team up with Xabier Mikel Azparren (Pinarello-Q36.5), Tobias Johannessen (Uno X-Mobility) and his teammate Anders Skaarseth, as well as Tim Van Dijke (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).  There is somebody on the front from Cofidis, but this group never even had their names displayed on the screen.  It wasn't very long before they were absorbed by the peloton.

Paris Roubaix '26: Closer and Closer

After his trials in the Forest of Arenberg, Mathieu Van Der Poel (Alpecin-Premier Tech) was forced to chase hard and mainly on his own in hopes of regaining the front of the race.  Forty kilometers after the forest he had seventy-seven seconds helped occasionally by Flippo Ganna (Ineos-Grenadiers).  They were followed by the Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe teammates, Gianni Vermeersch and Tim Van Dijke along with someone from TotalEnergies.  The others seemed either unable or unwilling to help in the effort of recatching those up the road.

Men's Omloop Nieuwsblad '25: Escaping the Peloton

Despite a breakaway still being two and a half minutes up the road, it was Visma-Lease a Bike that was animating the race all day.  This time it was their man, Matthew Brennan, who jumped away from the peloton on the cobbled climb of the Eikenberg.  He brought Vito Braet (Intermache-Wanty) - who looks back to see what the gap is - and Tim van Dijke (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe).  With another fifty-four kilometers to race, I am sure that van Dijke and Brennan were making the race hard in hopes of aiding their team leaders.
