With the blistering riding going on at the front of the peloton everyone was scrambling to stay on the wheel in front of them. The other problem was the team cars were all behind the chasing group, so not only no mechanics, spares and support, there was also no water bottles. Fortunately the neutral support vehicles were allowed forward, and this BMC rider hung on to the peloton and the water bottle as it was passed over. This is an original watercolor and ink postcard that is available for purchase at my artist website. Just follow the direct link at the end of this post to get your piece of the 100th Tour de France.
