When I picked up the TV coverage of stage 11, it was the moment that BMC and Tinkoff Saxo hit the front of the vastly reduced peloton. Both teams had noticed that Fabio Aru (Astana) and Richie Porte (Team Sky) had not descended off of the mountain as quickly as they had. With the possibility of gaining time on two of Alberto Contador's (Tinkoff Saxo) rivals it was time to raise the pace and push through the rain soaked roads of central Italy. Fortunately for Aru and Porte, this move didn't succeed.
This is a small original watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from Jack Richeson & Company, www.richesonart.com. In addition, this painting is available for purchase for only $50 USD through my artist website at www.greigleach.com. To buy this particular painting, just follow the direct link at the end of this post. But to hurry, this is a one of a kind painting and when it is gone, it is gone.
