From the drop of the flag, Matteo Busato (Southeast Pro Cycling) and Oscar Gatto (Androni Giocattoli) were on the attack. After the duo had been joined by Alan Marangoni (Cannondale Garmin), Alessandro Malaguti (Nippo-Vini Fantini) and Nicola Boem (Bardiani CSF). Gatto checks behind to see just how much of a gap they have managed to pry lose from the peloton. The quintet went on to build over a five minute gap on the group containing all of the leaders' jerseys.
This is a small original watercolor and ink painting that was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolor and Steve Quiller brushes from Jack Richeson & Company, www.richesonart.com. They are a small family run art supply business that has an incredible area of fine art and craft products. The painting is available for purchase through my artist website at www.greigleach.com.
