Tour de France 23, Stage 11: A Monumental Task

Unlike the first obvious sprint stage, today three guys went out in the early break away, despite just how big their odds of success were.  It was Andrey Amador (EF Education-EasyPost) was the one to get the effort started.  He was joined by Matis Louvel (Arkea-Samsic), currently on the front and Daniel Oss (TotalEnergies).  It stuck me as a little odd that Oss was out in a break, he is Peter Sagan's lead out man.  I would think he would stay with his team leader in hopes of getting Sagan a stage win in his final Tour de France.  With 130 kilometers to race, the peloton had yet to let them get more than two minutes ahead, so it is just shy of a zero chance that they will contest for stage honors.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The painting was created using Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors and Steve Quiller brushes from www.Richesonart.com. The work sells for $95 USD including shipping, but yes international shipping is both available and extra.
