I couldn't resist. Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) started today over three minutes behind the race leader, and the guy behind him on course today. This individual time trial is basically an uphill climb against the clock, so today is a battle with oneself against a mountain and a stopwatch. After his time losses against his main rival, Tadej Pogacar, it is going to be a metaphorical uphill battle for Vingegaard to gain enough time to capture the Maillot Jaune either today or by the time the peloton reaches Paris. Today he was on fire, posting the best time at the finish by almost a minute. Alas, that time only stood until Tadej crossed the line a minute-and-a-half later. Still there is some comfort to be found for the team in that both Vingegaard and Jorgenson bounced back from their collective bad day yesterday. With another big mountain stage tomorrow, they have a glimmer of hope to carry into the highest Pyrenean climb of this Tour, the Tourmalet!
This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The work sells for $99 USD including shipping, but, yes, international shipping is both available and extra.
