Tour '25, Stage 4: Two Minutes

Three of these four guys went away at kilometer zero. Kasper Asgreen (EF Education-EasyPost) joined up with Lenny Martinez (Bahrain-Victorious), Jonas Abrahamsen (Uno x-Mobility) and Thomas Gachignard (TotalEnergies) after about twenty kilometers.  He had to bridge a minute-and-a-half to join the early morning breakaway.  As they are currently being informed by the old-school chalkboard on the back of a motorcycle, they built up a two-minute lead on the peloton.  Unfortunately for this quartet that seems to be about all of the advantage the peloton was willing to let them have.  Or as it is oft put, they weren't going to be given any more leash to run.  Asgreen has once pulled off a breakaway win on a sprinter's day, but with 144 kilometers to go, it wasn't looking like lightening would strike twice for the former Danish Champion.

This is a small 4x6 inch original watercolor painting that is available through my website at greigleach.com or you can simply follow the direct link at the end of the post to purchase the painting above. Since it is an original work of art, it is a first come first served reality. The work sells for $99 USD including shipping, but, yes, international shipping is both available and extra.
