Orica GreenEdge was on fire today, having promised great results in Corsica and their sponsor in the team car, they were under some serious pressure to deliver some results. Simon Clarke seemed well on his way to delivery the Polka Dot Jersey into the coffers of the team. He had climbed over the first three climbs of the day first tying Pierre Rolland for the King of the Mountain competition. With just over a kilometer to the top of the final climb of the day he checks behind him to make sure he is still alone. Unfortunately, Pierre Rolland, who started the day in Polka Dots, wasn't having it, and stormed up the final K to be the first over the climb. Fortunately for Orica GreenEdge Gerrains succeed in getting around Peter Sagan for the stage win.
